Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Drexel Heights, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Drexel Heights is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Drexel Heights, AZ Tidbits
Drexel Heights, a community in Pima County, Arizona, had 27,749 residents during the 2010 census. The city is composed of a land area of 19.7 square miles. Since it is only a few miles from Saguaro National Park, this census-designated place is filled with Saguaro cacti. Drexel Heights is surrounded by various mountain ranges and it is bordered by the Tucson Mountain Park to the north.
It had a population of 23,849 residents during the 2000 census and was named after a prominent family in the area. The Tohono O'odham Indians roamed the area and inhabited most of what is now Drexel Heights. In the early part of the 20th century, the corner of North Main Avenue and West University Boulevard saw the establishment of a reservation for the Yaqui Indians in the area.
Although Drexel Heights doesn't have many historical institutions, the Drexel Heights Fire District had a colorful past. The fire district began in 1954, providing service to the south and southwest areas of Tucson. At South Cardinal Street, the original fire station was built in 1974. Two more stations were built in 1987 and 1991.
In the 21st century, the first fire station was replaced with a new one that was constructed in 2009. The Drexel Heights Fire District had eventually merged with the Tucson Estates Fire District, adding another fire station and a few more firefighters. The district had started with only a handful of volunteers. They didn't have much, but, according to the residents who have lived in the town since the 1970s, the volunteer firefighters made do with what they had to provide fire and emergency services to the surrounding area.
Drexel Heights is within Pima County, which provides various learning centers and natural attractions. The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures has over 275 miniature houses, room boxes, and other artifacts and figurines. One exhibit is a fantasy-themed gallery that has miniature houses designed by American and European people. The tiny house features a small doll wizard and other items like mirrors, skulls, a cat, and painted bookshelves, among others.
The nearby Saguaro National Park located just west of Tucson was named after the saguaro cactus species, the largest kind in the entire nation. It is also considered a National Monument. There are several camping grounds in the park and none of them are accessible by vehicle so most visitors go on foot. The Tucson Mountains are also located just a few minutes away from Drexel Heights. The mountain range lies along the Tucson Basin and is protected by the Saguaro National Park and Tucson Mountain County Park, which was first established in 1929.
