We build our memory foam mattresses to last at least 10 years, and we back our mattresses with a 20-year warranty, providing you with two decades of good sleep.

Q: Does Amerisleep need a box spring?

We suggest against pairing box springs with our mattresses because they can cause damage to the foam layers. Instead, we recommend a mattress foundation with either a solid flat bottom or slatted bottom with slats no further than 2.75 inches apart.

Q: Do Amerisleep mattresses sleep hot?

While it’s true memory foam mattresses tend to retain heat more than other types of mattresses, we do our best to mitigate that concern by using plant-based foams with advanced open-cell structures. The advanced open-cell structure of our foams makes our mattresses more porous and breathable, so you won’t feel like you’re sleeping in a heat trap or be woken with night sweats.

Q: Is there a warranty on Amerisleep mattresses?

Our mattresses come with a 20-year warranty covering sags as little as 1.5 inches deep in addition to manufacturing defects. Please note, our warranties do not cover normal wear and tear of the bed.

Mattress size is an important consideration when choosing a new bed. If you buy something too small, you won’t have enough room to get comfortable. But if you buy something too big, it may make your bedroom feel cramped.

To make the shopping process easier, we break down each mattress size and who they’re recommended for below.

Twin Size Mattresses

Dimensions: 38 inches by 74 inches If you’re looking for a mattress for a smaller bedroom or a growing child, a twin is a good option. This provides enough room for one sleeper to get comfortable and doesn’t take up too much space. They’re even compatible with bunk beds to fit more sleepers in one bedroom.

Twin XL Size Mattresses

Dimensions 38 inches by 80 inches Twin XL mattresses are a better option for taller sleepers who need a little more legroom. Like the twin, these provide enough room for just one sleeper, but the extra five inches of length can accommodate sleepers over 6 feet tall.

Full Size Mattresses

Dimensions: 54 inches by 75 inches Full mattresses are ideal for solo sleepers who like a little more space to sprawl out and get comfy. These offer 16 extra inches of width in comparison to twin sizes, allowing more room to change sleeping positions or co-sleep with a pet or child. We suggest couples opt for queens over fulls though, as fulls cannot comfortably fit two adults.

Queen Size Mattresses

Dimensions: 60 inches by 80 inches Queens are good options for couples or solo sleepers. If you’re a solo sleeper with a larger bedroom and you like a bigger mattress, we say go for it. Queen mattresses are also a popular choice for couples; however, some couples may prefer to choose a king, instead.

King Size Mattresses

Dimensions: 76 inches by 80 inches King mattresses have equivalent dimensions of two twin mattresses placed next to each other, which is what makes them a great choice for couples. When sleeping on a king, each sleeper has 38 inches of personal space, so they can toss and turn all they want without disturbing their partner.

California King Size Mattresses

Dimensions: 72 inches by 84 inches We recommend California king size mattresses for sleepers over 6 feet tall since they offer an additional four inches of legroom. We should mention, though, that Cal kings are also four inches narrower than standard kings. So what you gain in legroom, you lose in wiggle room. While these mattresses are often viewed as bigger and better than regular king beds, they’re really just a better option for taller people.

Split King Size Mattresses

Dimensions: 38 inches by 80 inches Split king mattresses are a solution for couples who have different sleep needs. Say you really like soft beds, but your partner wants a firm bed, a split king is a perfect compromise. Split kings are two separate twin XL mattresses placed next to one another in a bed frame, so you get the dimensions of a king, but you get to choose your preferred levels of comfort and support for your side of the bed. Split king mattresses are also excellent options for those with adjustable bed frames. Pairing a split mattress with an adjustable frame allows you to adjust each side of the bed independently.

We offer a 20-year warranty with each of our mattresses to protect your bed from sagging and manufacturing defects. Our warranty covers sags greater than 1.5 inches, but does not cover normal wear and tear of the mattress.
