Amerisleep - Full Size Mattress
Refreshing sleep no matter your living space.
The full size mattress is a nice medium between a twin and a queen size mattress. Our Amerisleep full size mattresses contain responsive Bio-Pur®, a plant-based memory foam, and supportive HIVE® for even body weight distribution.
Pain-free sleep shouldn’t be the exception.
Eco-friendly foams are designed to provide optimal comfort and support for every sleep position. Foam layers are more responsive and effective in relieving pressure points without sleepers feeling “stuck.”
Who should get a full size mattress?
Full size beds are the gold standard for kids, teenagers, college students, small guest rooms, or single adults with limited space.
A full size mattress fits in virtually any living space, including dorm rooms, guest bedrooms, or kids’ rooms.
Surprise visitor? You can still offer them a great night’s rest with a comfortable, supportive full size mattress.
You can fit a full size mattress in a bunk, trundle, or a shared bedroom. They’re the perfect size for a growing child.
How much should I expect to spend on a high-quality full size mattress?
A reasonable budget with rational expectations ensures a smoother buying experience. Many full size mattresses come with a $4,000 price tag and are slapped with the term “luxury,” but the truth is, companies use marketing techniques to make an average mattress appear as a luxury item.
In contrast, other mattresses may have a lower price tag and seem like a great budget option, when they’ll only last a few years before breaking down.
A high-quality, full size mattress usually costs under $2,500, but may go up slightly in price depending on special features or technologies.
- Cooling technologies, such as gel memory foam, copper-infused foam, advanced open-cell foams, plant-based foam, or precision cut-channels and zoned support.
- Added edge support (either in the form of quilted pillow topstitching or poly-foam reinforcing the edges)
- A longer than average warranty (the mattress industry standard is a 10-year warranty)
- White glove delivery if included with purchase
- Brand name and reputation
- Amount and/or quality of materials (for example, softer beds use more layers of foam so they tend to cost more; hybrids cost more because they use a combination of coils and foam; natural latex mattresses cost more because of their sustainability and durability)
- All-natural materials, such as organic cotton, natural latex, or CertiPUR-US® certified foam, Greenguard Gold Certified foam, and so on
Common mattress features increasing mattress cost
- Cooling features like plant-based foam, gel foam, or copper-infused foam
- Specialty foams and technologies, depending on brand
- Edge support from high density foam perimeters and steel innerspring coils
- Quilted Euro-style pillow top for a plusher surface made of higher-quality materials

What sets Amerisleep’s mattresses apart
traditional memory foam beds?
Memory foam rose in popularity from its ability to relieve pressure points. Heat and pressure softens memory foam and causes it to form around the body.
Because of its dense structure, traditional memory foam tends to overheat.
To prevent this, Amerisleep uses Bio-Pur®, a plant-based memory foam more breathable and responsive than traditional memory foam. Bio-Pur® contours to the body, relieving pressure points and staying cool for a better sleep.
Amerisleep vs. Other Mattress Types

Firm and worth the price.
The mattress is firm enough to keep my lower back from hurting but soft enough for a good night’s rest.
Second to none.
I was anxious to buy this mattress at first. I'm very picky because of my back surgery and need a mattress that supports me well as a stomach sleeper. If you know what I'm saying, stomach sleeper for someone with spine surgery is a big no. But this mattress made it possible. After 9 years, I've got a restful sleep. Thank you Amerisleep.
I never write reviews but had to give credit where credit was due. I love the heck out of this mattress. I've always complained of back pain and a good mattress is imperative to me. This mattress was so dang easy to open, got it up my stairs without an issue, because it was still in the box. Opened it in the morning, slept on it that night. Unbelievably comfortable. Remarkable customer service. Prompt delivery. Totally recommend.

Reduced our back pain dramatically
I'm a stomach and back sleeper and my husband is a side sleeper. I love that this bed works for both of us and has dramatically reduced back pain for both of us. It used to take me 30 mins to get out of bed in the morning because my back hurt so much and I'm 31 years old !!!! Good riddance old mattress !!! I now pop up out of bed within 5 mins of waking and ready to start my day. I couldn't be more pleased with this company and our new bed.
The answer to my prayers
When I read the other reviews, I was skeptical. I have a bad back, and my old mattress was just making matters worse. It was a traditional mattress. I decided to go with Amerisleep AS2. The mattress is very firm but soft to the touch at the same time. I have had the best sleep in years after purchasing this mattress. And a lot of my back pains are gone. I am very happy with this mattress and I plan to replace my daughter’s mattress with another Amerisleep mattress.
Insane back relief
I have suffered from disc issues in my back for the past 15 years. I have had daily pain for the past five years. My back and hip pain have been almost entirely eliminated within one month of sleeping on this mattress. It has improved my daily quality of life and is by far the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on.

I would definitely rebuy this exact mattress in the future!
I love that it comes more firm in the beginning and softens up as time passes by. I heard about it from a friend and tried their bed and ordered one for ourselves and been very happy with it.
This mattress is incredible! My wife and I have done countless hours of research for the best mattresses on the market. Amerisleep is, by far, the best product for quality sleep, comfort, and overall satisfaction!
I would buy this product again
I have a bad back. My husband and I bought a new bed about a year ago. Unfortunately, I'm at the point the bed is to soft for me to sleep on. I have searched several bedding stores and they all said the same thing. If I didn't like the bed I could get a store credit. My fear was what if I can't find a bed I can sleep on in their store. That's why I like Amerisleep. They guarantee satisfaction or your money back. Luckily I first bed I purchased with Amerisleep has been awesome. I would recommend Amerisleep to everyone.
Soft and supportive.
This bed is amazing, it's more on the softer side but I like it like that. It's got great support too. I've always woken up with back pain on my previous mattress but not with this one.
Great Mattress. Sleeps cool and has the level of firmness as described. I tend to prefer a firmer bed (back issues) and my wife prefers very soft beds. The AS4 is perfect for both of us. Soft while giving good support. I am surprised some folks have rated it as "way too firm." My wife loves a super soft bed and absolutely loves it. Would 100% buy again.
This product is AMAZING!!!!!
This mattress has truly changed my life. Years on end I've been waking up multiple times during the night due to either heat or the stiffness/cratering of my generic mattress. My Amerisleep mattress has me sleeping through the entire night both cool and comfortably, I truly feel like I am sleeping on a cloud. Thank you Amerisleep for such an amazing product! I highly recommend this product to anyone in need of a new mattress or that is currently experiencing sleep issues.
A great mattress for bony side-sleepers!
Because of our narrow staircase to a converted loft, we had to choose a mattress in a box or we could not do a king-sized mattress. While heavy, the Amerisleep mattress was manageable up the stairs and very easy to open. I love that it did not off-gas at all. Zero. We've slept on it for more than a month now and it's starting to soften considerably. Perfect for both of us as we are side sleepers who need a softer mattress for our pressure points. I don't wake up sore anymore.
New to Memory Foam
This was my first memory foam mattress and I had read mixed reviews so I was nervous about having an adjustment period and not being able to rest during that time. For me, there was no adjustment with this mattress. I slept great the first night and every night since then. I no longer wake up with pain in my hips and legs and it's amazing.
We love our new Amerisleep mattresses!
My husband and I purchased this as a new bed for ourselves. We both suffer from back problems and I found myself waking up many mornings to aches and pains in my hips and shoulders. Mattresses are not an easy purchase, especially with so many options out there, but Amerisleep made this process a breeze! We purchased the AS5 and we love it! It is soft and comfy, yet supportive. We are sleeping so much better and I'm not waking up with hip and shoulder pain! We've even noticed a decrease in snoring. :)
Frequently asked questions
A full size mattress is sometimes called a “double bed.” Fulls are bigger than twins—about 15 inches wider—but queen size mattresses are bigger than fulls, measuring about 60 inches by 80 inches. A queen size mattress can accommodate more sleepers, making it a better option for couples compared to a full size mattress.
The best full size mattress should evenly support the body, while relieving pressure points for a better night’s sleep. However, there is no one “best” mattress, as everybody has different sleep needs. When searching for a new bed, consider your preferred sleep style, level of firmness, and recurring aches and pains, as these considerations should point you towards a comfortable bed for your needs.
A typical full size mattress is 53” by 75”. Many are under the assumption that since a full size mattress is also known as a “double bed,” a full is the equivalent of two twin mattresses side by side, but this is not true.
Full size mattresses are great options for teenagers, college students, and single adults with limited living space. They’re also the perfect choice for combination sleepers, who regularly toss and turn at night.
The right firmness should be based on your favorite sleeping position and body weight. For instance, plus-size back sleepers need a firmer surface to keep the spine in alignment without deep sinkage.
Side sleepers need a soft to medium feel for pressure relief in the shoulders and hips, filling in large gaps between the body and mattress.
Back sleepers need a medium to firm mattress for enhanced lumbar support and to cradle the hips.
Stomach sleepers need a medium-firm to firm surface to keep the body resting on top of the bed and prevent heavy sinkage.
Combination sleepers need a medium to medium-firm mattress to maintain alignment.
Light sleepers weigh less than 130 pounds and need a softer mattress to enable body-contouring on the surface for pressure point relief.
Average sleepers weigh between 130 pounds to 230 pounds and need a medium surface for an even balance of comfort and support.
Plus-size sleepers weigh more than 230 pounds and need a firmer mattress to support the body without risk of sagging.
The Amerisleep sleep trial lasts 100 nights. If the customer doesn’t like the mattress, Amerisleep will arrange to pick up the mattress and donate to a local charity before issuing a full refund. During the sleep trial, customers can also exchange the mattress for another size or model—the sleep trial renews once the customer receives the new mattress.
Amerisleep offers a 20-year warranty, one of the best in the industry, covering sagging greater than .75” and defects which could damage the bed. Most mattress companies only cover sagging greater than 1 inch.
Amerisleep mattresses are designed to last longer than the typical 7 to 9 year time period. Durable, eco-friendly foams are engineered to handle wear and tear for longer. Plus, each of Amerisleep’s mattresses are covered by a 20-year warranty.
Yes, the Amerisleep AS2 is one of the best mattresses for back pain, with responsive Bio-Pur® foam cradling the hips and HIVE® technology providing extra back support.
