Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Lake Jackson, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Lake Jackson is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Lake Jackson, TX Tidbits
Lake Jackson is a city in Brazoria County, Texas. During the 2010 census, the city had 26,849 residents. It was a planned community that began in the 1940s and was designed by a Midland native. It is one of the most successful master-planned cities in Texas.
The community was created to serve as a residential town for the workers of a chemical company. Called the "City of Enchantment", Lake Jackson was the perfect new community because its location provided protection from Gulf storms, better drainage systems, and beautiful natural sceneries.
The 1,300-acre area saw the construction of the new community on December 8, 1941. Since there were many oak trees in the area, Oak Drive became the first street to be constructed in Lake Jackson, Texas.
The town got its name from the man who owned the estate where the town was developed. The lake was further named after him, and the new town was subsequently named after the lake. It was incorporated as a city in 1944.
With more than 26,000 residents, Lake Jackson has a substantial need for quality education and schools for its growing number of school-age children. The city's public schools are operated by the Brazosport Independent School District and there are eight of them.
There are three private schools in the area, and many who want vocational and baccalaureate degrees can study at Brazosport College, a public community institution that is well-known for its music hall, which has bought many famed musicians to Lake Jackson.
Lake Jackson offers its residents a colorful history, as well very interesting facts that have been featured in some local publications. One such tidbit is how the streets in Downtown Lake Jackson always end in "Way". Down the streets, visitors will find such names as Center Way, Winding Way, Parking Way, Circle Way, and even Any Way. Streets in other parts of the city were named after plants and flowers.
There are also street names like Mango, Tangerine, and Jalapeno, among others. The highways through the city are an exception. One unique features of the city of Lake Jackson is the abundance of trees. The original developer didn't want to level the land and get rid of the trees. This is why many streets in Lake Jackson aren't straight, so as to preserve the line of trees in the area.
Lake Jackson also offers its residents numerous facilities, cultural centers, and parks where everyone can enjoy and have a good time. The city's Sea Center is a marine development and educational center where visitors will be able to observe more than 20 million fingerling fish.
Tourists can also spot large trouts and other fish species in the center's massive tanks. There's also a saltwater marsh demonstration boardwalk and freshwater marsh for people who want to learn more about the plants and animals in Lake Jackson and in Texas.
The Lake Jackson Historical Museum is another education center in the city. It is a 12,000-square-foot establishment that has exhibits on the area's history, from the prehistoric era to the city's founding. There are photos and memorabilia from the early settlers, the first stores that were established in town, and information board about the city of Lake Jackson.
The museum also hosts several events and celebrations each season where participants can create their own inventions and demonstrate them. There are also scavenger hunts, live animal demonstrations, and planetarium shows.
Aside from learning centers, Lake Jackson's natural parks also offer entertainment and fun. At the Mammoth Drive Lake Park, many residents go scuba diving. There are also several golf courses, natural recreation areas, and more. The city's neighborhoods also offer community parks and sports fields.
