Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Best Time to Buy a Mattress?

Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Costa Mesa, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.

Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Costa Mesa is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.

The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.

What is the Best Mattress of 2019?

We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.

How Often Should You Replace Your Pillow?

A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.

If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Costa Mesa, CA Tidbits

Costa Mesa, a city in Orange County, is one of California's most diverse and dynamic cities. From starting out as a humble semi-rural farming neighborhood, it is now considered an "edge city." Costa Mesa was nothing like what it was 30 years ago. The city now has more jobs than living spaces with an economy concentrating on shopping and entertainment industries. The city covers a land area of nearly 16 square miles and has a population of about 110,000 residents. Ever since Costa Mesa's incorporation in 1953, the city has grown and adopted a council-manager form of government.

Indigenous populations long inhabited the area. After a Spanish expedition in 1769, the place was renamed Vallejo de Santa Ana. In 1801, the Spanish Empire gave 62,500 acres of land to a citizen and he named it Rancho San Antonio. His enormous ranch contained the land where the cities of Newport Beach, Olive, Orange, Santa Ana, Tustin, Villa Park, and Costa Mesa are presently located.

On May 11, 1920, it was officially named Costa Mesa, which in Spanish means "coast table." This is because the city is a plateau by the coast. Within thirty years of Costa Mesa's incorporation, the city's population grew by five times.

Costa Mesa is not far from major cities. As a matter of fact, it is only 37 miles from Los Angeles, 88 miles from San Diego, and 425 miles from San Francisco. The city's southernmost border is only a mile away from the Pacific Ocean. Costa Mesa has a semi-arid climate with mild temperatures throughout the year. Rain falls during the winter months. Since it is a coastal city, fog is a common occurrence every morning.

The 2010 census bureau report stated that the city had a population of 109,960 residents with a population density of 7,004 people per square mile. Costa Mesa's racial makeup consists mostly of people with heritage from Europe, Asia, indigenous groups, and Africa. Around 106,990 people lived in Costa Mesa, and 12,298 of the households had children under 18 years old. The average number of people per household was 2.68 and the average family contained 3.30 members. The median age of the population was around 33.6 years old. Between 2009 and 2013, the city had an average household income of $65,830.

Costa Mesa has a lot to offer. The city's 9.5-acre civic center includes the city council chambers, local police headquarters, an emergency dispatch building, and a fire station. There are over twenty eight parks, three public libraries, two municipal golf courses, and twenty public schools within its city limits.

Each July, a country fair takes place at the fairgrounds. Over a million visitors attend the fair each year. Another famous festival in the city is Costa Mesa's pumpkin festival. It started in 1938 and the city restarted the festival in 2013 due insistent public demand.
