Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Best Time to Buy a Mattress?

Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Inglewood, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.

Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Inglewood is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.

The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.

What is the Best Mattress of 2019?

We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.

How Often Should You Replace Your Pillow?

A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.

If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Inglewood, CA Tidbits

Inglewood is a city in Los Angeles County, California whose history can be traced back to the Native Americans who resided near the natural springs in Edward Vincent Jr. Park, which used to be called "Centinela Park".

This 55-acre park has a pool, as well as courts for basketball and tennis. There are 15 sports fields, three picnic areas, and five playgrounds in the park, making it one of the city's most popular recreation centers.

The city's history began with Spanish explorers who went to the Los Angeles area in 1781. These people were told to drive their cattle to the area, and they did. They also made use of the Centinela Springs. As a result, many of the Spanish ranchers established residential structures in the area.

The first was constructed in 1822. It was a three-story adobe house for him and his cattle herders. This house is no longer around, but historians say that it once stood on the site of the present-day basketball court in Edward Vincent Jr. Park.

Later on, the historic La Casa de la Centinela was also built in 1834. It is sometimes referred to as the Cantelina Adobe. This Spanish Colonial structure is one of only 43 surviving adobe houses in the Los Angeles County. Because this is the oldest building in the area, it is considered the "Birthplace of Inglewood". Currently located on 7634 Midfield Avenue, the adobe house was once the center of the Rancho Aguaje de la Centinela.

It is now a museum that houses the Historical Society of Centinela Valley. The building displays artifacts and items from the 19th century. There are two other structures on the museum grounds. The Freeman Land Office was built in 1887 for a land company in the Centinela Valley. It also contains memorabilia and photographs. There is also a heritage center in Inglewood that opened in 1980. It houses items from an old house that is no longer around.

Aside from the Centinela Adobe Park where the historic structures stand, other parks in Inglewood include the Ashwood Park, which has facilities and equipment for basketball, volleyball, and tennis. There are also picnic areas and a shallow pool, as well as two playgrounds for toddlers.

Inglewood's Kenneth Hahn Park has a cool brook and running trails. It is also home to trees that have been around since the 1950s. The Exposition Park is the location for a science center and rose garden. The exhibits at the center feature Ancient Egypt, the human body, ecosystems, and more.

Inglewood had a population of 109,673 during the 2010 census. The growing number of residents can be attributed to many things, but one of the biggest factors is the affordable housing. While the prices for a monthly apartment rent in West Los Angeles continue to rise every year, Inglewood has low prices on houses and condos.

Many of the larger houses in the city were built during the 1940s, and they are some of the hardiest and sturdiest structures in Southern California. Many apartments in Inglewood can be rented for as low as $1,000 a month.
