Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Santa Ana, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Santa Ana is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Santa Ana, CA Tidbits
In Orange County, the second largest city, in terms of population is its county seat, Santa Ana, which was also considered one of the safest cities in the entire United States in a 2011 Forbes survey. With a population of more than 324,528, Santa Ana is the 57th most populous city in the country. Before its present name, it was once called "Hotuuk" and was home to several indigenous tribes like the Tongva and the Luiseno.
During the 18th century, many voyagers from Europe sailed to the American islands. In 1769, one such expedition landed on an area they called "Vallejo de Santa Ana". In 1776, a settlement was established in the area. It was called Mission San Juan Capistrano before it expanded to comprise most of Orange County. During the early 19th century, the city was part of a land grant called "Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana". Now, that ranch land is divided into different Orange County communities like Yorba Linda, Villa Park, Tustin, Costa Mesa, Olive, Irvine, Orange, El Modena, Santa Ana Heights, and, of course, Santa Ana.
Soon, American settlers began to move to the area in 1848. The parcels of lands were eventually sold and found their way to a pioneer who called the area "Santa Ana". It was then incorporated as a city in 1886. By then, the community already had 2,000 residents. Three years later, Santa Ana became the seat of Orange County. Like many booming cities, Santa Ana experienced a surge in economic and population growth after the establishment of a railway in the town.
The Southern Pacific Railroad constructed a line from Los Angeles to Santa Ana in 1877. Another railway company appeared on the scene and established a road from Los Angeles to San Diego, with a stop at Santa Ana. This happened in 1887, and later in 1905, the Los Angeles Interurban Railway also established a line from Los Angeles to Santa Ana. In 1935, the Firestone Boulevard opened up between the two cities. It was first direct automobile route from one city to another and it was later named the Santa Ana Freeway in 1953.
The Downtown Santa Ana District is the site of many historic homes and other structures, some retail shops, as well as the Santa Ana Civic Center, which houses the Federal Building and Courthouse. Many establishments and residential buildings in the area have been around since the 1800s.
The Midtown District on Main Street is the location of many entertainment complexes and educational centers like the Bowers Museum and the Discovery Cube Orange County. The former is located on 2002 N. Main Street and houses more than 100,000 objects that showcase pre-Columbian Mesoamerican and Native American culture. The museum has another establishment, which is just two blocks away. It focuses on displays and interactive exhibits about history and archeology.
The museum originally focused on the history of Orange County, but it has since expanded to display the history and culture of different continents. The Discovery Cube Orange County was formerly called the Discovery Science Center. It is located on 2005 North Main Street and is dedicated to 100 hands-on exhibits about science and technology. The building is one of the most prominent and distinguished landmarks in Santa Ana. The establishment is also popular for its ten-story solar array cube that is considered a grant engineering feat.
Near the Santa Ana Freeway is the Metro East District, which is dedicated to a development area for office buildings that house land and real estate developers. On it is also a zoo that houses animals and plants from Central and South America.
