Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Apple Valley, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Apple Valley is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Apple Valley, CA Tidbits
The city of Apple Valley, California is located in Victor Valley. Its official name is the "Town of Apple Valley", and it is one of 22 cities that use the designation. It is close to several cities like Hesperia, Victorville, Barstow, and San Bernardino. It had 69,135 residents during the 2010 census.
The Paiute and Serrano Indian tribes were living in the region of what is currently known as the Apple Valley, according to the census that was taken in 1910. Two of the Serrano Indian camps have been excavated, and some ancient petroglyphs were discovered. It is believed that the Paiute Indian tribes arrived sometime around the 1860s. The Apple Valley became famous for its fruit orchards after 320 acres of award-winning pears and apples were established in the area in 1915.
Many visitors to the area were attracted to a 1,300-acre ranch. Several celebrities also retreated to this place during the early 20th century. In 1932, the region was used as a turkey farm. The ranch became the largest integrated turkey farm on the west coast and started out with only 200 turkeys. This farm produced almost a million pounds of turkeys a year. A gated retired community and a marketplace now stand in its place.
An oil company was later established there in 1939. A real estate company was later created using the 6,300 acres bought from the Southern Pacific Railroad. Their first lot was sold in 1946. After several years a museum was opened right across the street of what is now a local bowling alley.
The city's urban development started as a project for a graduate course taught. It was about the feasibility of cityhood for Apple Valley. The draft study was completed in 1983 and presented to the executive director of the Local Agency Formation Commission for critique and comments, and the conclusion was positive.
In 1986, the Apple Valley Incorporation Drive was established. The committee members were able to gather signatures and many residents were tasked to vote in 1988. With 10,683 affirmative votes against 2,117 negative votes, 83 percent of voters approved the incorporation of the city of Apple Valley.
After the incorporation, a council was soon elected and several learning centers were constructed. Having opened in October 1990, the Lewis Center for Educational Research offers a unique educational partnership with NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Besides being a top-ranked charter school, the facility includes a full observatory, television studio and the Goldstone Apple Valley Radio Telescope, which has been used by many schools from around the world to perform radio astronomy observations.
The town hall was originally located in Central and Highway 18 from 1988 to 1993, but after that, it was then moved to the northeast corner of Highway 18 and Dale Evans Parkway. It was originally built in 1948 as the sales office of a development company. Years later, a new town hall finished construction in 2002.
The new hall is located in the Apple Valley Civic Center. Aside from the town hall, the center also houses the San Bernardino County Newton T. Bass Branch Library, the Police Department and Civic Center Park. An annex to the town hall was soon started, and it was finished in 2010.
