Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Marana, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Marana is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Marana, AZ Tidbits
Back in the 1990s to the early 2000s, the city of Marana was considered the fourth fastest-growing place in all of Arizona. Presently, its population sits at more than 35,000. It sits primarily in the Pima County, but a portion of it resides in the Pinal County. It is located only a few miles from Tucson. The town of Marana extends along Interstate 10, which makes it easy locals to cross to other bigger cities and neighboring states. In fact, Phoenix is just 90 minutes from the interstate.
The area where Marana now stands, as well as the nearby area of the Santa Cruz Valley, saw a continuous drove of inhabitants for over 4,200 years. In Marana, many archeological sites and landmarks have been preserved. They date back thousands of years ago.
One of the most prominent archeological sites in the area is a ball court village that was inhabited and established by an ancient indigenous group that existed thousands of years ago. Many of their inventions had been adapted by the early European settlers and some of their structures still stand today. These people were also credited with starting an irrigation system and a set of canals that have been retrenched by the early settlers of many Arizona towns and cities.
The site of one of their villages is located on the Santa Cruz floodplain at the end of the Tucson Mountains. According to historians, this landmark is also the site of a historic camp site used by a Spanish explorer who traveled all over what is now Arizona.
Near Marana is another agricultural site that was reportedly occupied from 4,200 to 2,500 years ago. It is also the location of the oldest canals in the entire North America. Another popular place for exploration is in the Tucson Mountains. This place dates back to as early as 1200 and 1350 A.D. The hillside has more than 150 terraces and 75 pit houses.
The historic mound in Marana, meanwhile, dates back to 1150 and 1300 A.D. It is a small part of what used to be a large mound that was vital to the early tribes in the area. The mound is surrounded by a compound wall made of adobe or mud bricks. There were multiple rooms in each compound and it is estimated that there were around 30 to 35 compounds in the area.
A mountain station nearby was also discovered. This station was used by a stagecoach line service, which began operations in 1857 and ended in 1861. Marana was a town of mining and ranching, but it was only during the 1920s that Marana became a primary agricultural center that produced cotton, wheat, pecan, alfalfa, and barley.
Many years later, Marana continued to draw in many residents and businesses. It even became the home to the largest pilot-training center in the entire world, having produced more than 10,000 pilots. It operated from 1942 to 1945 and is now closed, but it is still considered a legendary site in the history of the United States.
