Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Gilbert, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Gilbert is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Gilbert, AZ Tidbits
One of the most historical places in the Maricopa County in Arizona is the town of Gilbert. Although it was officially given the name "Gilbert" only in 1902, it already had settlers during the late 1800s. Many of these structures and buildings are listed in the national register of historic places. These establishments can be seen at Gilbert's historic district. The city had 237,133 residents in the 2016 survey.
The town was named after the person who developed the area and sold a part of the land to a prominent railway company. This prompted the town to build a train depot and several offices and stores. Eventually, the town of Gilbert went from being an agricultural community to a major commerce center in Arizona. A grocery store was the town's first shop and it opened in 1910. It soon housed Gilbert's first postal office in 1912.
During the early 1900s, Gilbert produced alfalfa and cotton. Dairy farms were also everywhere in town. Soon, Gilbert was known as the hay shipping capital of the world during the 1940s when the town shipped hay to supply the government's horses. During the early 20th century, Gilbert still had no electricity, indoor plumbing, or paved roads, but by 1910, cars were already available. However, many people in town still used horse-drawn farming equipment.
Although there were already many shops and new residents, the town was still largely a farming community until the 70s and 80s. During the 1970s, the town's population was only around 2,000, but the local government foresaw Gilbert's growth and annexed 53 square miles of county land. Now, the town is predicted to have 330,000 residents in the next decade.
One of the most popular wildlife parks in the town is a preserve, which features many nature trails for both hikers and horseback riders. There are a lot of wildlife animals and plants to see and the place is considered by many to be the major bird-watching center in the entire Phoenix metropolitan area. In fact, there are 250 bird species at the preserve.
Many locals have picnics at the park. Parents usually take kids to the dinosaur dig site where they can unearth and study bones while the grownups take the hiking trails to see the park's flora. The park is also home to the valley's only astronomy observatory and it's open to the public, which makes it a perfect educational trip for the day.
There are also several golf courses that offer sprawling green lawns, snack areas, and other outdoor activities like throwing darts. The community of Gilbert also has several parks, with six major ones and several specialty recreational areas. The residents and visitors can take their kids to the playgrounds or jog around the dedicated paths in the parks.
One park has an amphitheater and a skate park that contains 22,000 square feet. It is also a part of the town's central trail system, which has more than 135 miles of trail for hikers and bikers. Gilbert's dog park is considered the fourth best dog park in the entire country and was named after the town's first police dog from Holland.
