Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Apache Junction, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Apache Junction is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Apache Junction, AZ Tidbits
Apache Junction is a city that's situated half in Maricopa County and another half in Pinal County. It has over 36,000 residents and was named after a nearby trail. The city of Apache Junction is close to Superstition Mountain, a natural landmark well-known for its local legends and tales of missing gold and hidden treasures. In fact, there's a historical center dedicated to this 160,000-acre area in the national forest.
There is a museum located immediately at the foot of the mountain. The museum has 4,900 square feet of space for its exhibit hall and museum shop. Outside, visitors will also be able to see other structures and landmarks. There are areas dedicated to seeing old movies, as well as old farming equipment and vehicles that have been stored in a barn. There are also stage coaches, buggies, and even wagons.
Apache Junction is also home to a historic gold mine and its museum. During the 1890s, this mine was located near a live town, filled with boutiques and blacksmith shops. Now, it's a tour area for those who want to experience the Old West. The town of Goldfield started in 1892 as a gold mining community. The following year, a post office was constructed and the town grew.
Many miners went to Goldfield to try their luck, spurred by the legends and tall tales of the Lost Dutchman Mine where a horde of gold is supposedly hidden. The growth of the town's population prompted the construction of a boarding house, a general merchandise store, a blacksmith shop, a butcher shop, and a school.
Over the years, the town accumulated more than a thousand residents. Unfortunately, the town couldn't sustain its economy after the vein of gold ore diminished. Just after five years since the town's booming economy, Goldfield was seeing many of its residents leaving. Eventually, the post office was discontinued in 1898 and the last residents of Goldfield moved on to another residential community.
There were some miners who wanted to remain in the area, still hoping to find the Lost Dutchman Gold Mine, but nothing substantial happened until the 20th century when new mining equipment was brought in. Slowly, the town came alive again and a new mill was established.
A new post office was constructed and the town became known as Youngsberg. In 1966, the town was rebuilt and several stores opened up in the area. Now, the town's historic buildings are still in place and there are new structures for the tourists. There are also guided mine tours for visitors and, although the place is no longer an official residential community, it is a town filled with many visitors and people strutting around in period clothes, keeping the spirit of the Old West alive in Arizona.
Within Apache Junction is a state park that serves as a large natural area for camping, hiking, and horseback riding. There are several trails in the park and hikers can enjoy the desert scenery while on their feet or on their horses. There is a trail that features many desert plants and is located just near the visitors' center.
A loop trail at the park is 2.4 miles long, with an elevation of 500 feet. It leads to a spacious picnic area. There is also a local arboretum in the city. It is dedicated to the study and preservation of hummingbirds and butterflies, as well as various cactus species. There is also an herb garden and a forest filled with eucalyptus trees, as well as a demonstration garden.
