Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Best Time to Buy a Mattress?

Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Vail, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.

Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Vail is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.

The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.

What is the Best Mattress of 2019?

We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.

How Often Should You Replace Your Pillow?

A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.

If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Vail, AZ Tidbits

Located just 24 miles southeast of Tucson, the city of Vail, Arizona houses a famous cave and a national park. Vail was named after its pioneers who established ranches in the 19th century. A sign made of two large railroad spikes that form the letter "V" can be spotted upon entering Vail, Arizona. During the 2010 census, the city had 10,208 residents, which is a 248 percent increase from the population in 2000. It covers a total land area of 22.67 square miles.

One of the famous landmarks in Vail is a national park that is mostly part of the mountain district in Tucson. The park's name was taken from large saguaro cactus species that grows only on the Sonoran desert nearby. There is a popular scenic view on a valley trail that is only a 0.8-mile hike at the park.

Before the area became a modern city, it was occupied by several ancient civilizations. There are still several sketches and ancient petroglyphs in the area. They were once etched on canyon walls in the park for more than eight hundred years. The largest living saguaro cactus in the park stands at 45.3 feet tall.

The tallest cactus ever measured in the park's history stood at 78 feet, but it was knocked down by a strong windstorm in the past. The park has a wide space for viewing the cacti population. There are also several kinds of wild animals around the park.

Another well-known natural landmark in Vail, Arizona is a colossal cave located just 22 miles outside of Tucson. This grand cave was discovered in 1879. According to historical records, it was found by a man originally looking for stray cattle but found the entrance to the cave instead. It took nearly two years for researchers to map two miles of passageways into the cave and the park now has an estimate of 39 miles of cave tunnels.

The discovery of the cave paved the way for the creation of a cave mountain park. It also features two more caves. One is considered a "live cave" since it continues to make formations until this day. The park has cattle drives, cowboy-style barbecues, picnics, and trail rides.

Aside from the cactus-covered mountains, there's another significant range in Vail. These mountains were named after the Spanish term for "corner" since this describes the mountains' geographical location.

A forest trail in the park offers a sandy and leveled path for a 10-mile hike along a desert terrain filled with hundreds of different cactus species. Another trail is a six-mile hike that leads to a waterfall when it's in season. A more difficult trail is a lengthy 16-mile hike at the park. Towards the east side of the mountains is a valley known for its camping grounds.

Aside from mountain hiking, cave hopping, and cactus-seeing, Vail also has several golf courses. The city's hidden gem is a natural preserve, which is located near a stream and trailhead. There's a running creek all year-round and the vegetation is lush and green.
