Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Best Time to Buy a Mattress?

Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Queen Creek, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.

Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Queen Creek is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.

The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.

What is the Best Mattress of 2019?

We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.

How Often Should You Replace Your Pillow?

A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.

If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Queen Creek, AZ Tidbits

Up in the eastern side of a mountain range are remnants of what used to be ore mines. Back in the day, these mines were rich with minerals. One such mine was called the Silver Queen, which was the basis for the naming of a new town called Queen Creek.

Queen Creek is a community within the borders of Maricopa and Pinal Counties. It has more than 35,000 residents, but it began as a small town near the mines. At the foot of the ore mine was a creek that was later named after the mine. It was called "Queen Creek" and it ran through the mountains, the mines, and the nearby town, which was, at that time, called "Rittenhouse" because of the railroad spur that was located near Rittenhouse and Ellsworth Roads.

Although many people used the train when it was newly established, it soon fell into disrepair and, eventually, the townspeople stopped using the railway. The town of Rittenhouse was then changed into "Queen Creek" after the creek that ran through the area.

The Rittenhouse community had many farm lands with cotton, grapes, and plums. Several people later bought the land in 1927. They kept the cotton rows and added carrots, lettuce, potatoes, cauliflower, and broccoli. A new store and service station was constructed, but they no longer operated after 1943.

In 1914, other settlers bought 480 acres of land and established their farm and their own pumping plant. Another group of settlers arrived in the area after a few years and they bought 320 acres of land where they built a farm located just half a mile of what is now Power Road. In 1919, a family moved to the new community and established a homestead on their newly bought 320 acres of land, which now stands near present-day Sossaman Road.

The town's first school was eventually constructed in the area. In 1946, the farmers in the community started growing and producing more lettuce and carrots. In 1980, Queen Creek only had 1,378 residents. During the 2010 census, there were 26,361 people living in the community. In 2016, Queen Creek had a population of 35,524 people.

There are three major historical structures in the city. One is an old elementary school built in 1925 and was used as a schoolhouse until 1982. It now houses the region's historical society. Queen Creek also had a stagecoach stop north of Chandler Heights Road before. Only a few rock pieces of the structure can be seen now. Lastly, the old railroad water tank that was built in the 1900s can still be seen on Rittenhouse Road to this day.

There are six public school districts managing the town's schools. There are also several charter schools and a private school in the community. The residents can attend a local college in Queen Creek. The town has a public library that is part of the Maricopa County library district and it just opened in 2008. Queen Creek hosts various festivals, including a heritage celebration, which is considered the largest one of its kind since 2003.
