Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Oro Valley, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Oro Valley is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Oro Valley, AZ Tidbits
One of Tucson's suburban towns, Oro Valley, has more than 40,000 residents. It was incorporated in 1974 and is Arizona's answer to California's Silicon Valley. The town has also been called the "Upscale Tech Mecca" of the southern Arizona region by a regional news publication. There are more than 10 high tech firms located in town and many of them are geared towards the biotech industry.
Ten years ago, there was nothing on the vast fields of Oro Valley except homes. Now, it is home to several biotech giants, some of which were started by academics and even former professors from the University of Arizona. This also means that Oro Valley is home to many firms that employ graduates from big universities and colleges all over the state. Another big center in Oro Valley is a hospital run by a state university.
Many of the tech firms in Oro Valley have ties to the University of Arizona and many of its students have also moved to this little town in Tucson to get a career start in biotech. Oro Valley is just 110 miles from Phoenix, the state capital. Oro Valley is also just thirty minutes away from Downtown Tucson and is home to several attractions and natural landmarks.
Before it became a haven for tech companies, it was a destination for those who wanted to mine gold. Before prospectors came to the area, the first inhabitants of Oro Valley were an ancient group of indigenous people who once roamed the planes of Arizona, Texas, and Mexico.
This group has now disappeared, but they were very prolific during their time and some traces for their inventions were still around during the 19th century. They were known for their canals and irrigation system, some of which have been used by early European settlers a thousand years after their existence.
The local tribes that lived in Oro Valley made their home at a village on the foothills of a nearby mountain range around 500 A.D. Another indigenous group inhabited the area before the Spanish explorers and settlers came. When the latter did come, they established several structures in the area. One was built in 1775 and is regarded as Tucson's oldest structure.
Because of the town's mild climate and green scenery, golf is a popular pastime among the residents of Oro Valley. There are a lot of country clubs and golf courses that have been established in the town, and they have been given high praise by many golf publications and media outlets. The golf courses in Oro Valley were considered some of the best in the entire state from 2006 to 2008.
The city has many large swimming pools and aquatic centers, as well as fitness establishments and gyms. The city also has many affordable and luxurious apartments. The community also hosts various festivals throughout town, like the cultural celebrations that usually happen towards the end of the year. Festival activities involve decorating cookies or cooking s'mores.
The city is also home to a 200-acre park that has 50 dirt trails. Oro Valley is also less than thirty minutes away from a state park that covers 5,500 acres of land where visitors can see animals and plants indigenous to the area.
