Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Best Time to Buy a Mattress?

Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Litchfield Park, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.

Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Litchfield Park is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.

The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.

What is the Best Mattress of 2019?

We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.

How Often Should You Replace Your Pillow?

A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.

If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Litchfield Park, AZ Tidbits

The town of Litchfield Park in Arizona was established after 1916 when it was first considered as a farmland that could grow cotton for the tire production of a rubber company, which was considered the largest producer of pneumatic tires. It needed fertile land for cotton that was previously only available off the coast of Georgia and from Egypt.

A cotton company in Phoenix was later established to purchase 36,000 acres of land for the cotton farm. Most of the area was in the Salt River Valley. Around 5,000 acres of that farm land was dedicated to what is now Litchfield Park. It was then known only as the company's ranch where many Native American and Mexican farm hands worked to grow and harvest cotton.

The community's postal office that was built in the 1920s later bore the sign "Litchfield Park", which became the town's official name. One historic home that belonged to one of the pioneers in Litchfield Park used to stand on Fairway Drive. That mansion is now gone, but there are still other historic buildings in the area.

The most famous of Litchfield's residential structures is a long-standing ranch homestead, which built in 1930 and had 5,000 square feet that included an indoor swimming pool. This 80-acre land was purchased in 1919 and was used as a retreat.

A new irrigation system created by a pioneer to the area was to provide water for the planted trees and fruits in the area. A rose garden near the ranch's main mansion, as well as a cactus garden on the other side, was also around during the early 20th century days of Litchfield Park. After many years, several acres of the ranch were sold or given to other businessmen. Currently, it only has 20 acres of land and is now a property of the city's local council.

Another historic building in the town is the main office of Litchfield Park's historical society and museum. After it was used as a residential building, the house became the office of an insurance company office. The company eventually gave the structure to the town's historical society in 2008.

Litchfield Park's museum was subsequently opened to the public and now has several exhibits. They include vintage photos and artifacts that depict the old cotton company in Phoenix, the rubber company's productions, and their impact on Litchfield Park's economic growth. Many photos are of the city from 1917 to 1959. The museum also has a display of medical equipment and tools used by some of the town's first physicians and dentists.

Litchfield Park, located in Maricopa County, had a population of 1,664 residents during the 1970 census. The most recent survey in 2016 reported that the community had 5,766 people living in it. Litchfield Park's own elementary school district and the a high school district from the Agua Fria region are the major bodies that serve the city's students. The first elementary school in Litchfield Park was built in 1917 and was once located on the property where the present-day elementary school now stands.
