Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Best Time to Buy a Mattress?

Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Apache Junction, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.

Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Apache Junction is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.

The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.

What is the Best Mattress of 2019?

We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.

How Often Should You Replace Your Pillow?

A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.

If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Apache Junction, AZ Tidbits

The city of Apache Junction is located in both Maricopa and Pinal Counties, Arizona. Most of the city's neighborhoods lie in Pinal County, and its 2010 census was 35,840 residents. Its name comes from the fact that it is located between the Apache Trail and Route 60. The trail was once a stagecoach path that ran through the Superstition Mountains, Apache Junction's most prominent natural landmark. The city is bordered by the community of Mesa and the Goldfield and Superstition Mountains.

Before it was used by vehicles, the Apache Trail was used by many Apache tribe members who used it to cross from town to town. Today, the trail is a dirt road and has steep cliff drops. The Superstition Mountains is said to be home to the Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine. According to several historians, there have been at least four lost gold mines in the American West. Two were referred to as the Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine in Arizona and one is located in California and Colorado.

Local tales about the lost gold mine have been around since the 1870s and people have been looking for the secret mine since 1892. One gold mine was reportedly found near Wickenburg, close to the Superstition Mountains. More than 8,000 people have been looking for the mine through the years. Because it hasn't been found, the legend still draws in curious people from other places to visit the area.

The area around the Superstition Mountains is designated as the Superstition Wilderness Area and has a variety of natural features and landmarks like the Weavers Needle. It is a popular rock-climbing and hiking destination and is over 1,000 feet high. The Needle was created from the erosion of fused volcanic ash, leaving behind only a thin and tall column of rocks.

Another natural feature in the wilderness area is the Peralta Canyon, which is located on the northeast side of the Superstition Mountains. The canyon is another prominent hiking destination and it has a trail that leads to Fremont Saddle, which offers a view of the mountains and Weavers Needle. The trail is six miles long but it isn't difficult. Down the canyon is a side trail to Geronimo's Cave. Another place included within the perimeter is the Lost Dutchman State Park.

At the foot of the mountains is a museum that houses exhibits on the lost goldmine. Another room has displays on the Hohokam and Salado Native American people. These ancient cultures inhabited most of Arizona's land areas before the Europeans settled in the region.

Beside the museum is a 1,800-acre barn area that was used as a movie set during the 1960s. There is also a 19th century windmill on the property. The city of Apache Junction has a total land area of 34.81 square miles and an elevation of 1,722 feet. In 1970, the city's population was 3,836 residents. The city was later incorporated in 1978. The most recent survey revealed that Apache Junction has a population of more than 39,900 people.
