AS5 + Allseasons Blanket Bundle

As the softest mattress in our line-up, the AS5 is recommended for side sleepers, combo sleepers, and back sleepers who prefer a contouring, cushioning bed. Unlike many soft mattresses, our plush AS5 is also suitable for plus-size sleepers (over 230 pounds) because it contains a balance of cushioning and responsive materials to provide both comfort and support. With the AS5’s Active Flex layer, sleepers will never have to worry about sinking too far into the mattress either.

Although our AS5 is super-comfy for many sleepers, we do advise stomach sleepers choose a firmer mattress and avoid softer beds.

Side sleepers can get comfy sleep on both memory foam and hybrid mattresses since both mattress types feature contouring comfort layers to ease pressure in the shoulders and hips. Typically, deciding between memory foam and hybrids comes down to personal preference; that said, hot sleepers are typically advised to choose hybrids over memory foam models because they’re more breathable.

If you’re a side sleeper who prefers a bouncy bed, choose a hybrid; but if you like the stable cushion memory foam offers, choose a memory foam mattress model, instead.

Our Amerisleep AS5 features a 3-inch layer of contouring Bio-Pur® as its comfort layer, so sleepers enjoy immediate softness and cushioning upon lying down on this bed. However, the AS5 also contains a layer of Active Flex, a responsive foam to give the bed a bit of bounce and deter uncomfortable sinkage. As a result, our AS5 feels equal parts soft and bouncy.

Hybrid mattresses are breathable, bouncy, and their inner coil systems offer all-over support. These beds are perfect for sleepers who enjoy the pain relief of modern foam layers but still want to experience the bounce of a traditional innerspring. The versatility of hybrid mattresses makes them a comfortable option for almost all sleepers. Plus, because innersprings in hybrids are pocketed, these beds isolate motion better than other coil mattresses.

Our Amerisleep Allseasons Blanket weighs 6 pounds, so it does feel nice and heavy, but it is not considered a weighted blanket. Weighted blankets typically weigh at least 10 pounds, although weighted blankets for children may be lighter.

We use a specialized fabric called, “ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene,” to pull body heat away from you and dissipate it out of the blanket—it even helps you sleep 3 degrees cooler at night. We like this textile technology because it really feels cool against your skin, helping you drift off peacefully and avoid night sweats.
