Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Seguin, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Seguin is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Seguin, TX Tidbits
The city of Seguin, Texas is the county seat of Guadalupe County. At the time of the 2010 United States census, Seguin had a population of just over 25,000 residents. Currently, the city's population is estimated at 28,000 residents.
The city is one of the oldest in Texas and was founded just 16 months after the Texas Revolution in 1838. Prior to its settlement, Native Americans had first inhabited the area for thousands of years before being colonized by European pioneers who raised corn in the county. At that time, it was part of Gonzales County, and its original name was "Walnut Springs" due to the walnut groves that grew in the area. The name was changed six months later to honor a former senator. The city was named the county seat of Guadalupe County in 1845 when Texas became a state, and by 1853, the town had been incorporated as a city. The railroad arrived in Seguin in 1876 and helped spur the community further. Cotton was the main crop of the local farms, and Seguin boasted three cotton gins. Corn, oats, sugar cane, peanuts and wheat were also farmed. Pigs and cattle were raised in the area as well. The city had electricity by the early 1900s, and in the 1920, the city discovered oil. The oil boom helped Seguin to prosper throughout the Great Depression of the 1930s.
Today, Seguin has a total area of 34.5 square miles and is located entirely in Guadalupe County. The city is located 35 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio, 50 miles south of Austin and 250 miles southwest of Dallas. To the north is San Marcos, to the northeast is Luling, to the east is Gonzales, to the south is Stockdale to the southwest and west is San Antonio, Selma and Universal City.
Because of the city's location, Seguin experiences hot summers but mild, cool winters. Temperatures reach their peak in July and August and are at their lowest in December and January.
At the time of the United States census in 2010, Seguin had a population of 25,175 people, 8,749 households and 5,968 families, with a population density of 1,157 people per square mile. The city also had over 8,000 housing units with a density of 429 per square mile. The ethnicity of Seguin was comprised of a racial makeup of 55% Hispanic or Latino, 20% Caucasian, 8% African American, 1% Asian and 6% Native American. Of the city's 8,794 total households, almost 30% had a child living in them under the age of 18, almost half were married couples who lived together and a third were non-families. The median household size in Seguin was 2.68, and the median family size in Seguin was 3.25.
The city had a median income of $31,618 and a median family income of $36,931. Seguin had a per capita income of $13,740 with 13% of families and 17% of the total population living below the poverty line.
