Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Lakewood, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Lakewood is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Lakewood, CO Tidbits
Lakewood is the most populous city in Jefferson County, with 142,980 residents. Because of this, the city is also the fifth most populous city in Colorado. Lakewood's history began in 1889 when a company began urban land developments in the area. In 2011, the city received its first All-American City award.
Before the 1960s, Lakewood didn't have its own municipal government. The people relied on other nearby communities for water and fire services. In terms of security and policing, Jefferson County handled Lakewood's problems even though the city was already more than eight decades old.
Eventually, it was incorporated in 1969, but it bore the name "Jefferson City" since it was highly dependent on the county for many of its public services. Many of the people wanted a new name for their town because they feared that they would be confused with other cities in Jefferson County. A vote was held and the town was renamed "Lakewood", with over 90,000 residents during this time.
Lakewood has many urban parks like the Bear Creek Lake Regional Park on 15600 W. Morrison Road. The park is filled doing archery, boating, equestrian, fishing, swimming, and running. The park also offers 15 miles of dirt trails that lead along the nearby creek and up to Mount Carbon, and through the open meadows for a more tranquil experience.
The park also has 47 camp sites that support electrical hookup. The camp grounds provide three cabins, water stations, and restrooms, as well as showers. There are also two yurts that can accommodate up to four adults. Outside are picnic tables and BBQ grills, not to mention fire rings for activities.
The city also has several scientific, historical, and nature learning centers. One is located on 801 S. Yarrow Street. The Lakewood Heritage Center has over 30,000 artifacts housed in over 10 historic structures. The exhibits include items from the 1940s to the 1980s. The museum also displays different historic objects, instruments, and vehicles.
The museum houses the Inter-Urban Car No. 5. It was one of the Denver region's railcars that ran along a transit system that connected Denver to Golden and Boulder. Car No. 5 was built by a company that started operations in 1911. It is fully-restored and is the last remaining car that is a fully intact a historic property.
The Lakewood Cultural Center on 470 S. Allison Parkway is also another establishment that showcases exhibits on artifacts and memorabilia from the city's early days. There are several schools that serve the city's students, namely Lakewood High School, Alameda International School, Brady Exploration High School, Green Mountain High School, and Bear Creek High School. The city has a private university, and it is the only institution for tertiary education in the entire community of Lakewood.
It has a sister city each in Germany and Australia, and two in the United Kingdom. The city is located between U.S. Route 6 and the Colorado State Highway 121. Lakewood's name also describes the city's geographical landscape. It sits on the watershed of the South Platte River and it has many sources of water since several creeks flow through it.
