Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Upland, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Upland is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Upland, CA Tidbits
Upland, California is located in San Bernardino County. The city was previously called "North Ontario" and was incorporated on May 15, 1906. It sits at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains and is considered a suburb of Los Angeles. During the 2010 census, it had a population of 73,732. The most recent survey revealed that Upland had 76,684 residents.
It has a water area of 0.03 square miles and a land area of 15.62 square miles. The city started as an irrigation settlement, founded on its agricultural strength. It was a rural town whose people grew and harvested citrus fruit and grapes. Even today, the city of Upland still has old, adobe ranch houses, as well as the remnants of a trolley line that ran along Euclid Avenue.
Settlers from Spain arrived in the area during the 18th century, establishing a trail that led to different parts of California. Some of those early settlers founded cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles. After California became part of the United States in 1846, many people settled in the state largely due to the gold rush in 1849.
In 1882, a colony founded by a shipbuilder from Ontario, Canada was established. This new town had 8,000 acres and cost a total of $90,000. The Ontario settlement was peopled by residents from other states, and it became known for its citrus orchards. Other fruit trees were soon planted and, by 1884, there were around 85,000 trees that bore apples, pears, and peaches in the Ontario colony. There were also around 16,000 grape cuttings in the town. In 1889, the city was considered the second largest citrus grove in the state because of its 2,000 acres of citrus orchards.
The city of Upland was formed from the northern part of the Ontario colony. It was known as "North Upland" and "Magnolia" after a hotel in the area. There were train tracks in the city since 1887. The Ontario colony was later incorporated into a city in 1891. It was considering an expansion, and this worried the town of North Ontario, which in 1902, used the name "Upland" from a citrus association. In 1906, the city of Upland was finally incorporated.
Local and commercial buildings were constructed quickly. In 1907, Upland's first hospital was created. A new and expanded one was dedicated years later in 1924. During the city's early years, Upland had 2,384 residents in 1910. This number saw a 22.1 percent increase in 1920. But before that, the city's fire department was established in 1911 with several volunteers. Four years later, a fire station on D Street was built. In 2017, the city's fire department became part of the San Bernardino County fire district.
The city of Upland was among those founded on the National Old Trails Road, which is considered the first national coast-to-coast highway. The original trolley service that ran on Euclid Avenue was eventually closed in 1928. The city's citrus industry continued to flourish well into the 1930s, and it was the second biggest industry in California, next to petroleum.
