Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Redlands, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Redlands is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Redlands, CA Tidbits
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city of Redlands has a land area of 36.1 square miles. The city is part of San Bernardino County and also part of the Greater Los Angeles area. As of 2010, Redlands' population was about 68,747 residents. By 2013, the population grew to 69,999.
The city is just 10 miles east of downtown San Bernardino, and the climate in this area is the typical Mediterranean, meaning the average monthly temperature is over 17 degrees Fahrenheit. The city adopts a council-manager kind of government. The city mayor and the vice mayor are not directly elected but are chosen by the council. These council members are elected by the people. Currently, Redlands has two sister cities. One is Hino, Japan and the other is San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
Redlands got its name after the color of the adobe soil. Early settlers saw some potential in the area because of its hot, dry climate. Thus, it made an ideal place for citrus production. The city of Redlands was established by two people. Redlands' first newspaper was published in 1887 and to this day remains the city's oldest business.
In the spring of 1882, the first orange grove was planted and for the next 75 years, Redlands became the center of production for large navel oranges. Around the 1930s, the production grew to a larger scale and there were more than 15,000 acres of citrus groves in the city. Redlands produced over 4,200 railcars of navel oranges and 1,300 railcars of Valencia oranges during two consecutive years between 1937 and 1938. Because of the popularity of the city's oranges, the first annual ball came to life in 1945 and it was held at the Redlands city hall.
Over the years, the citrus production declined because subdivisions were starting to replace these rich agricultural areas. Three major citrus packing houses had closed, and only one packing house remains today. Approximately 2,500 acres of citrus remained to fulfill the current demand.
The city bid goodbye to the oranges, and soon after, it switched to plants. Redlands was tagged as the next "Palm Springs" because of the roses being planted in the city. Along the along main avenues of Redlands, Washingtonia Robusta palms were planted. Redlands became the first city to have center medians with trees, and beautiful gardens emerged between roads. With its beautifully kept area, trains soon included Redlands in their route.
Redlands has ten city-approved trails, making the city well-known among hiking enthusiasts. The city was incorporated on December 3, 1888, and has a water area of 0.30 square miles. It has an elevation of 1,358 feet. During the 1890 census, the city only had 1,904 people. Currently, its latest survey in 2016 reported that Redlands had 71,288 residents.
