Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Poway, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Poway is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Poway, CA Tidbits
The city of Poway, California offers a broad range of dining, shopping, 25 amazing parks, over 55 miles of trails and so much more. Strategically located in the center of San Diego County, it provides convenient freeway access to Los Angeles, Riverside and Orange counties, as well as Mexico. The city has a total area of 39.16 square miles. Only 0.09 square miles of the city is occupied by a body of water.
The city had a population of 47,811 residents during the 2010 census. In 2016, there were 50,077 people living in Poway. The name of the city comes from one of the indigenous tribes living in the area before the 16th century. Poway is also the name of the creek running along the area. The city's contemporary history began with the arrival of explorers from Spain during the 18th century. These explorers recorded the valley's name as "Paguay" in 1828.
Settlers came to the area during the late 19th century. In 1887, around 800 people were living in the town of Poway. These residents ran ranches and farms. When the 1900s arrived, Poway's major industry was agriculture, specifically in the harvest and production of fruit and grain, as well as dairy products like milk and cheese.
Poway is home to the 700-acre canyon and an ecological reserve. Another indication of the city's commitment to the preservation of natural open spaces is the existence of a ranch beside a canyon preserve. The ranch and preserve together have over 10 miles of outdoor recreation trails and service roads. One of the most active parks in town and located at the heart of Poway is the community park that houses several baseball fields, swings, a playground, a dog park, and a skate park.
The old park was constructed to recreate the 20th-century atmosphere of California. It has walks along the winding pathways and green lawns for peaceful picnics. The residents of Poway use a cable car or speeder to visit the city's heritage museum, which contains artifacts and vintage photos and includes a historic house that once belonged to one of Poway's oldest families.
One of the most photographed landmarks in San Diego is the Potato Chip Rock because of its shape. The trail that leads toward it starts off following the path around Lake Poway. The path leads to the peak of Mount Woodson, which is known for its panoramic views. Poway's nearby regional parks and mountains make tourism one of the city's strongest industries.
Poway's school district was first established in 1871, but the first school wasn't built until 1885. On this year, a one-room schoolhouse was built on Midland Road. Today, the building is still around and is used as an elementary school after having been renovated during the early 21st century. Back then, high school students went to Escondido to study. The city's unified school district now serves 25 elementary schools, six middle schools, and six high schools. Poway also has a home-school program and a K-8 school.
