Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Best Time to Buy a Mattress?

Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Huntington Beach, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.

Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Huntington Beach is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.

The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.

What is the Best Mattress of 2019?

We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.

How Often Should You Replace Your Pillow?

A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.

If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Huntington Beach, CA Tidbits

Huntington Beach is a city in Orange County, California. It is located in the southern part of the state and had 189,992 people during the 2010 census. In 2016, the number of residents had increased by 5.6 percent to 200,652. This made the city the seventh most populous in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

It borders the Pacific Ocean, Seal Beach, Westminster, Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa, and Newport Beach. Huntington Beach is sometimes called "Surf City" because surfers hit the waves throughout the year. The city was originally part of a land grant from the Spanish crown in 1784, and had 300,000 acres. That land grant once included several Southern California cities like Fullerton, Whittier, and Brea, among others.

Beach Boulevard, the city's main road, was once a cattle route. Before it became known as Huntington Beach, it was called several names like Shell Beach, Smeltzer, Fairview, and Pacific City. It became a major tourist destination because of its waves and beaches, especially the 9.5 miles of sandy beach shore that stretches along the city limits. It has a water area of 5.19 square miles and a land area of 26.94 square miles, with an elevation of 39 feet.

The city's pier was built in 1904. Years later, in 1909, the city was incorporated. While tourism is a major industry in Huntington Beach, there was a time when oil was discovered in the area, and it attracted the establishment of oil exploration. This happened after several people had moved into the city and had bought pieces of land from an encyclopedia company in Huntington Beach. Agriculture was also an important industry in the city. During its early days, it was well-known for its celery and sugar beets.

The city's most popular industry though, is surfing. It also has a surfing museum dedicated to the history of the sport in Huntington Beach and the various surfers who made history in the city. This is also the site of the world's most-watched surfing championships. The sport was first popularized in Huntington Beach in 1925.

The city's first school was built in 1906 on Main Street. Huntington Beach's high school district serves four high schools in the city. It also has an alternative school and an independent study institute. There are four elementary school districts operating in Huntington Beach, managing more than 25 schools. The city is also home to a blue ribbon school, several private schools, and a community college.

Huntington Beach's median household income in 2015 was $83,252. The figure is higher than that of the US, California, Orange County, and the Los Angeles metropolitan area. There are more than 74,460 households in the city. Huntington Beach's average property value is at $642,900. From 2014 to 2015, the city's number of employed residents has been growing, from 99,900 to more than 101,000. Most of them have jobs in the retail trade, followed by the manufacturing sector.
