Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Best Time to Buy a Mattress?

Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Upland, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.

Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Upland is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.

The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.

What is the Best Mattress of 2019?

We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.

How Often Should You Replace Your Pillow?

A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.

If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Upland, CA Tidbits

Upland, California was incorporated as a city in 1906. It is located in the San Bernardino County and had a population of 73,732 residents during the 2010 census.

In 1846, California finally achieved statehood. American pioneers started arriving in California in large numbers in 1849 as the result of the California Gold Rush. The region that is currently known as Upland only occupied a little more than the ranch land that was uninhabited and a place to pass through until the 1880s.

In 1881, the community of Etiwanda started constructing canals for irrigation. On 8,000 acres of land, a new community was to be built. This area was called "North Ontario". A primary pathway was also constructed to run from one end of the settlement to the other. This was called Euclid Avenue, which ran to the mountains from the southern boundaries of the settlement.

A water company was later founded to attract new residents. The main selling point of the company was that each landowner would be a stockholder. The year 1882 brought the founding of another water company in San Antonio. Eventually, the settlement of North Ontario came to be known for its citrus groves.

Other kinds of fruit were also cultivated in 1882. The community had 29,000 pear trees, as well as 16,000 grape cuttings, 1,000 cherry trees, 16,000 grafted apple trees, and 15,000 seedling apple trees. After a few years, some 2,000 acres of citrus orchards had been planted by the community.

In 1887, the railroad arrived in North Ontario. The downtown was located alongside the tracks for the Southern Pacific Railroad when the Ontario Colony was established. The Santa Fe, Topeka, and Atchison railroad arrived in the same year, which completed the connection that was next to the recently established Magnolia Tract in North Ontario.

The railroad linked the rest of the Santa Fe network to the east, and Los Angeles to Upland and the west. This opened more opportunities for the city to attract business owners and new residents. Originally, the current community of Upland had been established in the northernmost portion of the Ontario colony that was previously established. The community was later called "North Upland". At first, the name "Upland" became the name for a citrus association. But soon, the name was used to refer to the entire region of North Ontario by 1902.

Before that, though, the settlement was incorporated in 1891. However, the size of the incorporated town was small. It consisted only of a one-half-square mile that was bordered by Sultana Avenue to the east, G. Street to the north, Vine Avenue to the west, and the Southern Pacific tracks to the south.

Another vote for incorporation occurred in 1906 when Upland's land area was bigger. The boundary lines for Upland were amended in 1935, which included the land that was annexed in the expansion of Ontario in 1902. From a population of 2,384 residents in 1910, the city of Upland now has more than 76,000 residents, according to the latest report.
