Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Best Time to Buy a Mattress?

Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Perris, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.

Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Perris is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.

The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.

What is the Best Mattress of 2019?

We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.

How Often Should You Replace Your Pillow?

A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.

If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Perris, CA Tidbits

Perris, California has a rich and colorful history. According to the census that was taken in 2014, the population of Perris was some 76,756, which represents a 103.8 percent increase since the 2000 census. The elevation of Perris Valley is between 1,300 and 1,500 feet above sea level. However, the elevation of the city of Parris is only 1,110 feet above sea level.

The community is located in the middle of the county of Riverside in Southern California. Perris is located some 17 miles from the orange groves of Riverside and some 100 miles north of San Diego. It is also just 25 miles south of San Bernardino and 75 miles southeast of Los Angeles.

In the early days, what was generally known as the San Jacinto Plains was part of the grant of the Rancho San Jacinto. It was located on a mesa or a level-body of land lying between the Temecula Valley and the Box Springs canyon. This area is approximately 30 square miles.

This region has since been given several different names by pioneers that include Los Almas, Paloma, Le Belle, Pleasant, Diamond, Menifee, Jan Jacinto, and Perris. The San Jacinto River runs towards the southwest direction through the southern portion of the territory that is known as the Perris Valley, which is between six and ten miles in width between foothills, and eighteen miles in length.

Close to Box Springs and starting in the northwestern edge of the valley, the boundary that lay between the San Bernardino and Perris valleys has a string of low granite hills that extended east until they came together on the plateau that was called Cajon Pass. This is a natural trail into the area that lies between the Grayback and the peaks of San Jacinto that were covered with snow. The valley proper extends along the range of lower hills for a distance of ten miles. This lies farther to the east being and is known as the San Jacinto Valley.

Before 1889, Perris Valley had a large herd of sheep roaming on its land. Miners from Mexico mined the rich quartz deposits in the area surrounding the hills. This was known as mining country where any ground was broken by a plowshare in the San Jacinto Plains.

Prospectors went over the ravine and to the ridge and, in all directions, they staked off their claims. They made a living by mining. There is considerable evidence that a prehistoric people existed on the area. Many Indian relics are regularly being rediscovered and displayed in museums.

Among these Indian relics are stone mills. They were used by the Indians to pulverize maize. These mills are rather large and have a shallow bowl-shaped depression in the flat boulders. They are also smooth oblong rocks that are hand-held. They worked similarly to the mortar and pestle.

Mining was starting to attract people from all around this area. Some of these people started settling on claims. A 160-acre tract of land in Menifee was also inhabited by people from Wisconsin. They became the oldest settlers in the valley. There wasn't even a single tree growing in the area when they staked their claim.

Now, Perris, California is home to many modern establishments. In fact, many of its residents are young professionals who live in houses worth $400,000. This doesn't mean that the city is too expensive for working class residents, though. There are still some parts of Perris where many residents who belong to the middle class live. The city is also diverse, with many Asian and Latin locals calling it home.
