Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Best Time to Buy a Mattress?

Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Hemet, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.

Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Hemet is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.

The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.

What is the Best Mattress of 2019?

We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.

How Often Should You Replace Your Pillow?

A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.

If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Hemet, CA Tidbits

The Cahuilla Indian tribe was the first group to inhabit the region where the city of Hemet is now located. Hemet is in the San Jacinto Valley in the Riverside County, California, and it had 78,657 residents in the 2010 census.

The original settlement of Hemet was converted to a ranch for cattle-raising. Back then, the land that was known as Rancho San Jacinto Viejo in the early 1800s was part of the Mexican land grants.

In 1883, some people visited the area to learn about a tribe living in a historic structure on the east side of the San Jacinto River. These people stayed at many different ranches and were introduced to some mountain residents raising horses in an area that was then known as Hemet Valley.

A year earlier, in 1882, there was news about the properties of the Rancho San Jacinto Viejo being given to many different people, some of whom had started earning profit from their pieces of land through a water supply. Because of this, a dam was later constructed across the San Jacinto River at the South Fork to help the community residents with a more reliable water supply. In 1887, a land development company was established.

Plans were made to lay the first railroad tracks into the San Jacinto Valley in 1887. This would allow access by the railroad to possible buyers of property of South San Jacinto and Hemet. However, in 1888 the first official railroad arrived in the valley and then turned northward, which ended at a location half a mile from the settlement of San Jacinto.

The community of Hemet continued to prosper from the late 1890s to the start of the 1900s. After a few years, a stagecoach line to Idyllwild, a water filtration system, and electricity were established in the community. There were also stock farms with a one-half mile racetrack and some rental cottages, as well as the established of the city's first bank.

Hemet also hosts many parks and recreation centers. The Lake Perris State Recreation Area is a wide picnic place with over 300 tables and grills. Diamond Valley Lake is also a famous destination for Hemet residents and visitors.

For over two decades now, the city of Hemet was named a "Tree City" by the Arbor Day Foundation. The Hemet Unified School District serves all of Hemet and several neighborhoods of San Jacinto and Valle Vista, as well as the communities of Winchester, Anza, and Idyllwild. The district serves over 20,000 students.

There are four high schools in the city and one in Anza. There are five middle schools in the city. One of them is the Western Center Academy, which also serves the city's high school students. There are a dozen elementary schools in the city of Hemet.

The Cottonwood School of Aguanga and the Hamilton School of Anza are nearby schools that offer K12 levels. There are also several alternative schools that serve the residents of Hemet like the Alessandro High School, Baypoint Prep Academy, Hemet Academy, Family Tree Learning Center, and San Jacinto Valley Academy, just to name a few.
