Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Best Time to Buy a Mattress?

Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Corona, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.

Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Corona is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.

The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.

What is the Best Mattress of 2019?

We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.

How Often Should You Replace Your Pillow?

A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.

If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Corona, CA Tidbits

Corona, California had 152,374 residents during the 2010 census. This city in the Riverside County has a history that began in 1886. The original inhabitants of this area were the Gabrielino and Luiseno Indians. Both of these tribes of Indians were completed villages in the Corona region and were hunter-gatherers. The Luisenos Indian tribe was located in the Temescal region, Lake Elsinore, and Temescal Canyon.

The Gabrielino Indian tribe was located to the west close to the Santa Ana River where the Prado Dam is currently located. In 1769, Spanish explorers set foot in California. A Spanish expedition arrived in California in 1769. In 1801, a large grant of land next to the Santa Ana River was established by the Spanish government. Part of this land grant is now the city of Corona.

This land was then claimed by the government of Mexico and was given to pioneers in 1825. Located just east of the Spanish grant was a new ranch land with 14,000 acres. Sometime later, an additional 10,000 acres was added to the new farming area. This land encompassed what is currently now known as Corona.

In the 1880s, a land company in the southern region of Riverside was established in order to develop the recently purchased land. It wasn't long before the company made arrangements to establish irrigation systems and build a railroad depot. The irrigation systems were used to deliver water to the dry land and also to establish the building blocks of the citrus industry in the new community, which was called "South Riverside".

Streets and boulevards were soon established in town. This would later on separate South Riverside from any other California community. A series of the gridded streets were enclosed by the boulevard. With the design of the settlement approved by the company, the town was able to receive names for its streets and boulevards. It wasn't long before a profitable and flourishing citrus industry came to be. The town was soon filled with lemon, orange, and grapefruit fruits and they became the mainstay of the local economy.

The year 1896 brought the incorporation of South Riverside into the recently established Riverside County. The residents wanted to establish their own identity so they changed the name to "Corona". The residents of Corona were primarily of Irish and English descent, although Italians and Mexicans soon arrived looking for jobs in the citrus fields.

The current city is surrounded by Norco, Riverside, Eastvale, Chino Hills, Yorba Linda, the Cleveland National Forest, and the Santa Ana Mountains. The city has 11 neighborhoods, one of which is North Corona. It is mostly composed of houses that were built in the late 1990s. the city's downtown area is close to the 91 Freeway, and is also the site of the Corona Community Center, which used to be a museum.

Central Corona, meanwhile, is the oldest district in the city. It has many houses and buildings that were built in the 1910s. This neighborhood is home to many Hispanic residents, most of which are descended from the early Mexican settlers. In contrast, the newest part of the city lies in the neighborhood of South Corona, which has houses built during the early 2000s. Most of the schools in this area are rated highly, according to national standards.

There are also several unincorporated communities located in the boundaries of Corona. One of them is the Temescal Valley. The city of Corona planned to annex it in 2013, but it didn't push through. However, Temescal Valley uses Corona's address and it depends on the city for emergency services.
