Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Burbank, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Burbank is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Burbank, CA Tidbits
Burbank, California is built by progress, pride, and people. These three elements converted a small country town into the flourishing community that it is today. However, the real history of Burbank started when a dentist from New Hampshire traveled West, together with other Americans who wanted to establish a new settlement.
The prominent Burbank family was active in the real estate industry in Los Angeles. In 1867, they bought several parcels of ranch land, which was then sold off to settlers who built homesteads and raised sheep. The community started with only a handful of people, but this changed when big railway companies decided to buy land and right-of-way in the new towns in California.
In 1874, the first railroad train came to Burbank. There was competition between the two railroads. This resulted in inexpensive fares, which prompted many people from out of town to visit Burbank and the rest of California. In 1886, a group of property speculators purchased some acres of the land for some $250,000.
The property was subdivided by these speculators into residential lots, small farms, and a business district. After a year, they offered the tract of land for sale and the settlement of Burbank was born. The year 1911 brought the incorporation of the city with a population of just around 500 people.
There was marked progress in the development of Burbank during the following years. In 1917, civic leaders helped to relocate a truck company to Burbank. This led to the manufacturing of trucks as the first major industry in the city. For years afterwards, these trucks traveled the highways of the world and bore the label "Made in Burbank". There was a period of population growth during the 1920s. The population of Burbank increased to some 16,622 people in 1930 from 2,913 people in 1920.
The continued growth and expansion in Burbank was tied to entertainment and aviation. Both of these industries came to the city as the result of its available space and location. During the middle 1920s, aviation was still in its infancy when an aircraft company bought some farmland in Burbank and constructed a facility for the production of its airplanes.
This aircraft company had about 94,000 employees by the time the 1940s rolled in. These employees produced about 19,000 airplanes, and they contributed to the city's population increase by 1943. By this time, Burbank had already 53,899 residents.
In the early days of the 20th century, Burbank also saw the rise of the motion picture industry. A film company purchased 78 acres of land at a location close to Dark Canyon on Olive Avenue. It wasn't long before another production company acquired the first studio. One motion picture company bought some land in Burbank for use as a ranch facility, which was also later used for outdoor filming.
A boom in real estate following the 1940s left few undeveloped regions in Burbank. A well-known broadcasting company relocated its network television headquarters to its new location at the corner of Alameda Avenue and Olive Avenue. This station had a state-of-the-art, multi-million-dollar complex by 1962. Many more establishments and business properties prospered in Burbank.
