Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Vista, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Vista is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Vista, CA Tidbits
Located at the northwestern part of San Diego County, Vista is a medium-sized city with an estimated population of 93,834 people. Vista has been called the 173rd best place for families in California based on its recreational activities, educational aspect, health and safety, affordability, and family life.
Historically, Vista was inhabited by the Luiseno Indians, just like most of the nearby cities such as Carlsbad and Escondido. Then, at the end of the Mexican period, the government gave out land grants to the people in the area. At that time, three ranches were granted, namely Rancho Buena Vista, Agua Hedionda y Los Manos, and Rancho Guajome. These lands would eventually be where the town of Vista would grow and flourish. In the 1880s, a post office was established in the area.
It was later incorporated in 1963 and became a charter city after more than four decades. It was called "Vista" since the 1960s and, from then on, the town thrived on the harvest and import of agricultural products such as citrus fruits, tomatoes, and celery. During the 1950s, agriculture declined in Vista, and it was replaced by the housing industry, which went up quickly. This led to many entrepreneurs who opened up light manufacturing businesses.
The city of Vista experienced rapid economic development after the establishment of business, but its population increased dramatically only when after the construction of train tracks. Railroads carried produce from farms and visitors from other cities. Some of the old steam engines and metal works in the early days of the city have been preserved in the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum.
Founded in 1969, this museum sits on a 55-acre land and has collected, preserved, and displayed exhibits that showcase the skill and talent of the ancient local craftsmen in 19th and 20th century Vista. The museum also includes tools and inventive objects which depicts how resourceful the early settlers and farmers of the area were back in the day.
A significant exhibit in the museum is the Gas Engine Row, along with a large fully functional Fairbanks-Morse winding engine that worked at 15 horsepower. There are also two old D8 Caterpillar tractors and a 1913 Buffalo-Pitts steamroller. These engines and equipment were used from the 1890s to the early 1940s. After that time period, most vehicles manufactured started using electric motors.
Aside from the engine exhibits, the establishment also houses the West Coast Clock and Watch Museum, which has a collection of statue and case clocks from all around the country and Europe. Many of the watches and clocks were manufactured and used during the 1900s.
The city has more than 20 institutions for its students, with most of its elementary and secondary schools operated by Vista Unified School District. The city also has alternative learning institutions like the Alta Vista Continuation High School. More than 2,500 students in Vista attend private schools. The city also has campuses for Biola University and Kaplan College. Aside from a large number of learning centers, the city is also home to over 800 companies, making Vista a hub of economic and educational activities.
