Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Santa Monica, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Santa Monica is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

One of the several beach towns in the Los Angeles County is the city of Santa Monica, which is located near the Santa Monica Bay. It is surrounded by the cities of Venice, Brentwood, Mar Vista, and West Los Angeles. Before the European explorers arrived in the area, it was inhabited by the Tongva people who called the place "Kecheek".
In 1769, a Spanish expedition led several settlers to establish colonies in the area. It was during this time that a community was founded and it was called "Santa Monica". During the 1870s, the Los Angeles and Independence Railroad built a track to connect Santa Monica and the city of Los Angeles. This led to an increase in the community's population. Because of this, a town hall was required. It was built in 1873 and still stands today, but it is already part of another establishment. The structure is the oldest one in Santa Monica.
The Pacific Electric Railroad helped Santa Monica gain fame as a tourist destination. Its beaches paved the way to the construction of amusement piers during the 20th century. It was also during this time that many Asian Americans resided in Santa Monica since there was a Japanese fishing village near the community. There were also many Chinese locals who lived and worked in Venice. The Santa Monica Pier was built in 1909 and is more than a hundred years old. It's located at the foot of Colorado Avenue and is considered a National Historical Landmark.
The city of Santa Monica also hosts an annual film festival and it has several historic theaters. The Angel Attic Museum can also be found in this city. It was established in 1984 and is one of Santa Monica's oldest structures. It houses a doll and toy collection. Santa Monica has eight neighborhoods, and each one has distinct features.
There are also several parks in the city like the 26.4-acre Palisades Park, which is located near the pier. More than 30 kinds of trees have been planted on the park like eucalyptus, fig, pine, and palm. The park is also home to a Native American Totem Pole. The Tongva Park has more than six acres of land, which has a playground, an amphitheater, a garden, and several picnic areas.
In 2010, the city had a population of 89,736 people. The most recent survey indicated that the number has increased and, in 2016, Santa Monica had 92,478 residents. Its median household income is $76,580, which is more than the annual income of the country. Many of the city's residents had Mexican, Chinese, and Iranian heritage.
