Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Pomona, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Pomona is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Pomona, CA Tidbits
The year 1888 brought the incorporation of Pomona, California as a city. The history of Pomona is as rich as its fertile soil. The Pomona region is located next to a trade route that was used by Native American tribes. When the Spanish settlers came to the area, the land was divided and given to notable officials in the Spanish army.
The Gabrielino Native Americans were the first recorded inhabitants of the Pomona area. During the 1700s, the valley came to be known as Rancho San Jose. In 1701, it became part of the Grazing Lands of San Gabriel. More than 50 years later, two soldiers petitioned the governor who then granted them the rights to the land in 1837.
Pomona came to be known as an urban garden during the early 1800s. It wasn't long before the city was considered a major economic center of the citrus industry. The agriculture industry was also given a boost by the arrival of the railroads during the 1870s. Because of Pomona's important role in the ever-expanding citrus industry, the residents decided to name their town after a figure of mythology that focused on fruits.
This name proved to be prophetic during the 1880s when the vineyards were thriving. They supplied cities and towns with raisin. During the 1890s, olive groves and citrus orchards replaced vineyards and Pomona was able to maintain economic leadership in the valley by means of its agricultural enterprises.
When it was first incorporated, the city only had a handful of residents. These days, Pomona has a population of more than 512,000 people, making it the seventh 7th largest city in the county of Los Angeles. Pomona boasts real estates and recreational offerings, attractive shopping a strong workforce, business opportunities, and a progressive economy.
In the past, the Pomona Valley was a fruit-filled area. Currently, the city has several parks and neighborhoods lined with fruit trees and its agricultural industry is still successful. Pomona came to be known as the "Queen of the Citrus Belt" during the 1920s. Because of the citrus industry in the city, Pomona had one of the highest levels of income per-capita in the entire country.
The community was the location used during the 1940s to preview movies for major motion picture studios to determine the reaction of middle-class audiences around the country. At that time, Pomona was considered the perfect sample of target audience for their movies.
According to the census that was taken in 2010, Pomona had a population of some 149,058 people, which is somewhat less than the population of Panama back in 2000. The racial makeup of Pomona is very diverse. There were some 135 people who were of Hispanic or Latin origins. They made up 7 percent of the population. Some 282 people, which made up 0.2 percent of the city's population, were either Native Hawaiians or Pacific Islanders. Around 1,763 people had Native American heritage, while 10,924 people were African American. The rest, around 48.0 percent of the population, had European heritage.
