Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Best Time to Buy a Mattress?

Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Moreno Valley, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.

Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Moreno Valley is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.

The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.

What is the Best Mattress of 2019?

We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.

How Often Should You Replace Your Pillow?

A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.

If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Moreno Valley, CA Tidbits

The city of Moreno Valley, California is located in Riverside County and had a population of 193,365 residents during the 2010 census. Approximately 2,300 years ago, the Moreno Valley region was first inhabited by Native American tribes.

There is a minimum of some 190 prehistoric archaeological locations within Moreno Valley. Most of these locations are milling stations, back when the dominant milling activity was milling chaparral seed. Petroglyphs are present all over the valley. However, the majority of the petroglyphs in the city are comprised of boulders with cup-shaped holes cut into the boulders.

Initially, some Spanish scouts came upon the descendants of the Luiseno and Shoshone Indian tribes. However, other Indian tribes like the Cahuilla and the Serrano were also in the region. The late prehistoric Cahuilla and Luiseno Indian tribes wintered in villages, and then during the spring and summer months, fanned out in family groups to harvest acorns and seeds

In 1850, Americans started relocating into the region when California was admitted to the country as a state. The route between Tucson to San of John Butterfield was used by a mail company. Some farmers started occupying the region, and they depended on water from a land company that collected water from the Bear Valley in California in 1883. This was the time that region was first given its present name, "Moreno Valley".

During the 1980s, the region experienced some explosive growth. The population had increased to 49,702 people by 1984.The construction of new businesses and houses were fueled by the economic boom in the state. There was a push for incorporation as a result of this growth. In 1984, a measure to incorporate Moreno Valley as a city was approved by the voters while similar efforts had failed in 1968 and 1983. The communities Moreno, Sunnymead, and Edgemont united with nearby regions in 1984 to establish the general law city of Moreno Valley.

In 1984, the first City Council was also elected. The following year the Motto and City Seal and were adopted. The population growth of Moreno Valley had exploded by 1990, and the city became the second largest city that was located in Riverside County, having a population of more than 118,000 people. Until around 1992 this population expansion continued.

Although the economy in Moreno Valley started out as robust, by the 1990s, it experienced a slight decline. However, the city's growth picked up towards the 21st century. Many big companies started relocated their primary facilities to Moreno Valley. The southern half of the Island Empire became a very attractive place for industry in the early 2000s, as the result of the soaring cost of living in Los Angeles as well as the arrival of so many new residents to Riverside County.

In 2006, new malls and shopping centers opened on the east end of Moreno Valley, just off Moreno Beach Drive. Many large stores opened in Moreno Valley in 2007, and this attracted more people, especially those with families, to move in. The city is also home to scenic golf courses, one of which was once considered to be one of Golf Magazine's top 75 golf courses. You can visit some of them through the State Route 60.

By a vote of one to four, the City Council passed a resolution declaring the eastern half of the city Rancho Belago. This resolution also included the zip code of 92555 within the boundaries of the region, according to a local newspaper. This gave many entrepreneurs chances to expand businesses.

These days, the population of Moreno Valley is approximately 200,000 people. The residents who earned higher salaries live in the newer housing developments in the eastern half of Moreno Valley. There has been a proposal to bring a minor league baseball team as part of the California League, as well as an increase of corporate business and office industrial parks in recent years.
