Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Fullerton, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Fullerton is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Fullerton, CA Tidbits
Located in the northern part of Orange County is the city of Fullerton, a community with 135,161 residents during the 2010 census. Fullerton's history began with Native American people called the Tongva and the ones that the Spanish explorers called "Gabrielinos". While there are several civic and history centers in the area, the most prominent one is the Ralph B. Clark Regional Park when it comes to learning about the city's natural history.
Most of the park area is located in Buena Park, but six of its softball fields are on Rosecrans Avenue. Prior to the 1980s, it was called "Los Coyotes Regional Park" but was renamed after the Orange County supervisor. At the park, there are evidences of the city's prehistory, like remnants of creatures like the saber-toothed tiger and large wooly mammoths.
The Ralph B. Clark Regional Park also has several features that visitors can use like baseball fields, fire rings, horseshoe pits, playground, tennis courts, volleyball courts, and trails for hiking and cycling. Also, there's an Interpretive Center, which hosts seminars about Fullerton's flora and fauna and the city's preservation plans and projects.
The first explorers in Fullerton were the Europeans. Spanish explorers came on an expedition in the area in 1769. They settled temporarily near what is now called Laguna Lake. In 1771, more expeditions led to the establishment of a mission in the area. This later led to the land grant, called "Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana".
When Americans began to trickle into the area, they bought several parcels of land from the Rancho. Many of these Americans came from other states who wanted to try their luck during the California Gold Rush. In 1886, a few people heard the news that a subsidiary of the Santa Fe Railway was looking for land for their tracks.
Two people bought 430 acres of land near Anaheim, California and sold it to one of Santa Fe Railway's subsidiaries. The company bought the right-of-way at what is now the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Commonwealth Avenue.
During the 1890s, the city of Fullerton had the highest number of orange groves than any other municipality in the country. Because of this, the town residents took it upon themselves to plant more trees and crops of walnuts and avocados, turning Fullerton into a center of agricultural activity in northern Orange County. It was eventually incorporated in 1904.
Fullerton is the fourth oldest city in Orange County. It has lots of historic structures and landmarks. Downtown Fullerton has experienced renovation after renovation for 20 years now. Many new establishments were constructed next to over 70 historic buildings.
At the downtown district, there are promenades shaded by tall trees, beautiful walkways, and over 2,500 acres of free parking space. The downtown area is home to the plaza, a nationally renowned auditorium, and several learning centers, like the Fullerton Museum Center on 301 N. Pomona Avenue, which was declared one of the best museums in Orange County.
Other historic buildings in the area include the Chapman Building on 110 E. Wilshire Avenue, which used to be the tallest structure in Orange County back when it finished construction in 1923. The George Clark House located at the Fullerton Arboretum originally stood at 114 North Lemon Street before the 1970s. It is one of the oldest original houses that still stand in modern Fullerton.
The John Hetebrink House on 515 E. Chapman Avenue is a two-story structure on 4,500 square feet of land. Two other historic houses are currently located on the grounds of California State University, Fullerton. The Pierroti House and Gardens on 1731 Bradford Avenue is all that remains of a once-thriving ranch during the city's early days. One of the oldest structures in the city is the Santa Fe Railway depot, which was constructed during the 1930s, but the original structure was created in 1888.
