Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for a good mattress sale can be tricky. If you’re looking at brick-and-mortar locations in Camarillo, always ask the sales associate when the sale ends and often the sale runs. If you’re looking online, check to see if the mattress company offers promo codes or referral codes for deeper discounts.
Generally, the best time to buy a mattress in Camarillo is during one of the four major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Presidents Day.
The Black Friday mattress sale is often one of the best, with most mattress companies offering a few hundred dollars off their mattress plus free pillows or sheets.
We are a little biased but we like the Amerisleep AS3. We were one of the first bed in box companies and we have worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable and supportive mattress at an affordable price.
A good mattress can only do so much. Finding the best pillow for your neck is just as important. Most people don’t know you should replace your pillow every 2-3 years. Pillows often lose their shape and support faster than a mattress.
If looking for the best pillow, consider investing in a memory foam pillow but look for one that has a ventilated airways or promotes breathability.

Camarillo, CA Tidbits
The city of Camarillo in the Ventura County in the state of California has a population estimate of almost 65, 895 people. Its motto is "Las Personas Son la Ciudad", which translates to "The People are the City". The city is known as a bedroom community.
The indiginous Indians mainly inhabited the area, as evidenced by the many artifacts and remnants of cave dwellings in some places in Ventura County. Explorers came upon the indiginous settlement in Point Mugu in 1542. Years after, in 1602, another expedition arrived in the area as well.
However, in 1768, Russians had established a settlement near the place where the Spanish explorers settled down. More and more European settlers soon came to the area. In 1834, ranches were abundant in the area since Mexico had just gained its independence.
Several lands were then granted to the people. The Rancho Calleguas is a land grant that once consisted of what is now Camarillo. Most of the historic structures in the city were preserved in Old Town Camarillo.
The a historical museum opened in 1988 and was dedicated to the preservation of the area's history. The museum's exhibits include a set of old wall telephones complete with a dial. Some of the exhibits also include a table with bottles and boxes of herbal medicines and other remedies used back in the day.
Another area of the museum holds a commemorative exhibit on the town's founding years. The establishment has a collection of over 2,000 photographs, books, journals, artifacts, clothing, and more. Some of the long-term exhibits are dedicated to the 20th century telephones and tools.
Aside from the wall telephones, remedies, and journals, there is an exhibit on tiny models of hand-made fire engines. The miniature sets are made of paper mache with bits of metal. The set includes the early versions of a fire truck, which were water pumps on wheels pulled by horses.
The city of Camarillo also has a collection of animal eggs and species at their nature preservation society. This building houses a huge assortment of eggs, nests, and all kinds of bird species. The institute is mainly focused on research and education, and its mission is to preserve the world's wild bird species through educating students, teachers, tourists, locals, and the general public.
The city has a median household income of $88,152, which is higher than the national median. Many of Camarillo's residents hold high-paying jobs and the city has a largely high standard of living. The residents go to nearby communities to use their public libraries.
The parks in the city are operated by the recreation and park districts. Camarillo has a senior center, several walking paths, picnic shelters, a skate park, tennis courts, sports fields, dog parks, several community centers, and soccer fields. Most of the public schools in the city are served by the Oxnard Union High School District. Many of the residents in the area work for the Channel Island school districts.
