The answer to this question can depend on how you support your mattress. Moisture from sweat often trickles to the bottom of your mattress. If you keep your mattress on a breathable, slatted surface, air should simply wick away the moisture.

If you keep your mattress on the floor permanently, which we do not recommend, you may want to lift it and lean it against the wall to breathe once a week. Do this for a few hours to ensure your mattress is moisture-free.

Is a hard or soft bed from the Amerisleep’s mattress store in Bellaire better for side sleepers?

A soft to medium mattress is usually the most comfortable firmness range for a side sleeper. If you’re a side sleeper interested in a new mattress, we recommend trying out our AS3, AS4, and AS5 models. A “hard” mattress, such as our AS1 and AS2 models, is typically more suited for a back or stomach sleeper.
