Percale refers to a crisp, breathable plain weave fabric made from long staple cotton. The weave involves an advanced thread interlacing process to create intersecting vertical and horizontal strands with half the threads going over and half going under for balanced durability, while retaining a light hand and subtle luster. It is cooler and more textured than silky sateen, but smoother and less puckered than heavyweight flannel.

Through specialized equipment, 300 fine cotton threads are intricately woven per square inch of material to produce the Amerisleep PurePercale Sheets' luxurious yet resilient 300 thread count which surpasses basic brands for a discernibly softer hand against your skin all night long, unachievable with low-quality fibers yet properly retaining the crisp percale properties.

As an eco-friendly natural fiber, organic cotton replaces toxic pesticides and synthetic fertilizers with gentler biological farming methods. These methods sustain soil health and conserve water usage at a drastically lower environmental cost than conventional cotton during the full annual growth cycle and beyond in manufacturing.

Organic cotton fibers such as those used in the PurePercale Sheets can also be more resilient than conventionally treated cotton, creating more durable bed sheets.

While the sheets maintain its signature crisp and textured percale properties over the long term, the organic cotton fibers will gently soften and develop a beautiful luster. Repeated low temperature machine washes and tumble dries on delicate can enhance the luxury and comfort with time. However, we take pride in how soft and gentle on the skin our PurePercale Sheets feel out of the package.

To preserve crispness and dimensional stability long term, machine wash the PurePercale Sheets using cool or warm delicate settings. Then, tumble dry low heat only to remove remaining moisture without exposing the cotton to excessive heat, or simply line dry the sheets. Too much heat in drying could diminish the vibrant feel and introduce shrinkage.

The PurePercale Sheet set accommodates any matching size bed with ease thanks to an 18-inch pocket depth. The thick elasticized edges of the fitted sheet neatly contains any mattresses up to that size with additional foam, Euro pillowtops or other substantial comfort padding. All without pulling taut or becoming loose over years of use.
